'And Then The [Happy Girl] with [Her] Satchel...'

Apart from this fabulous bag shedding all over the place since the leather is crackled (I really hope it stops soon), it really is a fun, bright satchel. LOVE the orange juice color! Sure to penetrate Winter's grayest day!

Paired it with my engineer striped Lita's, denim shorts and tights!

'Two Lovely Berries Moulded on One Stem'

Stacey from Goodwill Huntingg was nice enough to send me this thrifted skirt to style for her segment of 'Who Wore it Best'.  Check it out here and don't forget to show her some love!

Paired it with my Free People Maxi (worn here) and my awesome, can I say again AWESOME Steve Madden berry heels! I really love these shoes! Looking for tights in the same color so I can wear them throughout the winter! Picture felted black or grey wool mini skirt, berry tights, berry heels....ah!

'The Quality of [Repetition] is Not Strained'

I don't think a weekend has gone by yet that this flyaway tank (and my fedora, for that matter) hasn't been thrown into the mix! A beach day dictated that it be worn over my destroyed shorts and threw on the sandy Frye's for good measure!  Incidentally, my teeny bikinis have all but vanished and I have a slight suspicion that the BF hid them from me! Two can play that game, buddy. I'll just buy more hehehe!

I LOVE meeting fellow bloggers! So I was thrilled when Victoria of Thrift Juice told me she would be in NYC for a visit! We picked a designated area and when I got there, I looked around for a bit to see if I could spot her. All around me were females galore but the only one with an arm full of bracelet candy and wonderful oversized rings HAD to be the blogger and sure enough, there was she!

If you ladies have not yet checked out her blog, please do so! Victoria is new to blogging but an absolute natural, if I may say so myself. She has such a sweet disposition that we were instant friends. My only wish was that we lived in the same city. I could see myself getting into much bank account troubles with her!

Here's us doing what we do best - in JCrew on Madison Ave.

'A Malignant and a Turban'd Turk'

It was soooooo hot when I took these photos! And since it was just me and the tripod, I was sweating doubly as much since I had to run back and forth but, no complaints! I'm loving the summer heat!

Thought I'd give the turban a whirl! Was a bit skepitcal at first and thought I'd look like a strange bird of some sort, but I kinda like the look, so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried it. No need to mention the stares I got. Some parts of Jersey aren't as fashion foward, you know.

I just 'happened' to be in Urban Outfitters one lunch hour and while browsing the shoe section, my eyes hit the black Jeffrey Campbell Suebees (see the nude pair here and here).  Took me a second to focus on what I was actually staring at but when it finally hit me, I gasped, grabbed them up and purchased them.  Needless to say that as soon as I got these, Sole Struck FINALLY got them in stock again. But the UO pair are much cuter since they have a thicker ankle strap and instead of just plain 'ol black, the strap's a lovely nude color.

A bit of drama though, the first time out of the box.  Those of you who follow me on Twitter, probably heard my rant already but for those of  you who didn't: I was wallking to work all dolled up with these babies and poof, the strap broke! So I was reduced to walking Quasimodoish the rest of the way on NYC streets and can I just say that people are harsh! Just brushed right by me (I could have had a real infirmity people!!!!!) Tres embarassing! UO was good though, had the receipt on me so I waddled over (thankfully it was only about 2 blocks from my job) and they exchanged the sorry sad ones for a fresh new pair :)

What mortifying shoe delimna have you ladies faced?

And so I am reduced to waiting yet again, and hoping that Sole Struck gets these back in a size 7! How cute are they!!!
