I've been loving the nasty heat NYC is known for but going down in the subway is a whole other thing. The air is so thick, you can cut it...I swear, it's as hot as hades down there...not the ideal place to take blog photos. But as I liked my outfit and had a willing photographer, I said what the hells! (And each time the train rolled by, we got a nice gust of smelly, small debris filled, coolish wind to make it a bit more bearable).
REEEEALLY wanted the YSL Tributes (seen here) but unfortunately, I can't get them this summer due to some unforeseen events. However, I will have them on my feet by next spring! In the meantime, I satiated my need for super tall platforms with these close lookalikes from Zara.
I kinda like the 14th street subway stop on the E line. The little statues are so whimsical, and they're littered all about and in the most unusual places. Lovely little waste of taxpayer money and quite the diversion from the furry little guys that roam the tracks looking for something to munch on :)
Wear your shirt dresses beneath your mini's ladies! The hem line is brilliant sticking out from beneath!
