When I found out my friend was getting married, I set out immediately on the search for a dress (a whole year before the wedding...who's a bit nuts?) Anyhoo, I found this sweet number and instantly fell in love with it since I thought it was the perfect dress to wear for a beach wedding. Suffice it to say, I did not wear this dress for the wedding (after finding a couple of other suitable replacements along the way), kept it anyway and it turned out to be the perfect solution for the 100 degree NYC weather!
I finally managed to score this triple crystal Low Luv ring from Erin Wasson (orig. $168) for $80 and the freakin crystal falls out! REALLY!!! The thought didn't occur to make the prongs thicker or glue the crystals to the ring at least?
a-refunding-we-will go!
Shame though, I really did love the ring :(

What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Casting
Shoes: Sam Edelman
Rings: A Peace Treaty, Low Luv, Made Her Think
Earrings: NYC Vendor
Finally met Karen from wheredidugetthat at the Topshop Blogger Style Socials Event. Very sweet, and the British accent doesn't hurt at all!
She was the first to compliment me on my DIY studded collar and thank god too cause this thing was a pain in the derrier to make!
Met Solange Knowles at Fashion Night out where she DJ'd at Lord and Taylor. Was so grateful she posed for me (among the throng of people just standing there gawking at her) and she slipped in a 'I like your top'.
This lil ol top (also worn here and here) from Victoria's Secret really is a winner and who woulda thunk? Had a girl email me asking me if I'd sell it to her. Go figure.
Did a cute photo flip book hosted by Kate Spade. It really is a fun lil book (and a great idea for a wedding reception instead of the photo booths). When you flip the book, it plays like a movie.
Here are some still shots me N'J (the girl behind some of my blog shots) and I having some phone with the movie camera.

Sam and Libby Edelman were also there, and so I ripped off the Sam Ed wedges I was wearing and handed it to him! He signed it and landed a wet one on my cheek :)
And finally, click here to check out the rest of my pics from IFB's Blogger Conference!

ReplyDeleteNice dress! I love how the black shoes grounds it (your skin looks amazing in these pics btw) yeah, I'm beginning to think there are serious quality issues with the low luv jewels...I bought the armour knuckle a while back and a hinge came out. Love Karen, love Solange and Mr. Edelman;) Oh yeah and the DIY.
